In May, Ocean Network Express (ONE) and Wan Hai Lines will jointly launch a new direct service to the U.S. West Coast, named "AP1." This new route will provide direct access to Los Angeles, Oakland, and other destinations.
The route will include stops at: Haiphong - Keelung - Shekou - Xiamen - Taipei - Ningbo - Shanghai - Los Angeles, California - Oakland, California - Shekou - Haiphong.
Operated under the name "AP1" by ONE and Wan Hai, the new joint service will operate once a week with a turnaround time of 56 days. Wan Hai will deploy five vessels with a capacity of 13,000 TEU each, while ONE will provide two vessels of similar size.
The inaugural voyage of this new U.S. West Coast direct service is expected to be conducted by the vessel named "SEASPAN BEYOND," voyage E430. It will depart from Shekou on May 15, Xiamen on May 17, Ningbo on May 20, Shanghai on May 22, and then proceed to Los Angeles, Oakland, and other destinations.
